Poem-recording session on July 7th

The students and instructors of Auteur 101 will hold a Parallel Octave poem-recording session on the JHU campus this Saturday, July 7th at 1 pm (location TBA). We’ll focus on the poems of Charlotte Mew, among others. Details here on the Parallel Octave blog!

Charlotte Mew once wrote a great poem about a sycamore. Here’s the Sycamore Trail in Hoosier Nat’l Forest.

Up here, with June, the sycamore throws
Across the window a whispering screen…

– from “”From A Window,” by Mew

Poems may include the following:
Rooms
Not For That City
From A Window
The Farmer’s Bride

Here’s Prof. Kendall from the U of Exeter on why Mew is awesome.
